Windows Vista "failed to open windows image file"

i've tried to install this thing 10 times - every time it stalls at "Expanding Files 27%", makes me reboot, and locks up. this time it didn't lock up, it gave me this: "failed to open windows image file"... anyone know what this means?

i have 3.2G Athlon, 1G Ram, an NTFS secondary HD...

Hi Glenn,

Sounds like the download may be corrupted, either that or when you burned it. Bad DVDR or something? This happens during the first installation? If the installer can't access something then there is data corruption
