Windows 7 Upgrade without a reinstall?

I've noticed that there is a "change product key" item on the System page. Does anyone know if Microsoft is considering doing simply product keys in addition to the upgrade CDs? (you enter the product key of the retail version, and then Windows Update will then update the necessary files from RC to Retail)

Drew is correct. You would have to do a clean install from the RC version to the retail one to get retail keys. There is no way to upgrade from the beta to the gold version just by doing a change in the System Properties.

Actually you can upgrade to the RTM version from the RC version.
