HELP!!! I am trying to upgrade to windows 7, but it is telling me to delete my anti-virus first. Why is it not recognizing it, and should I delete and re-install when I am through upgrading?

Did you run the compatibility checker prior to upgrading your system?

Are you trying to upgrade over a prior OS or doing a custom install?

If your anti-virus in not fairly new, it may not be able to function in Win 7.

I suppose the real answer is, if Win 7 will not install with your anti-virus, you will probably have to uninstall it.

The best advice is to format and do a clean install and prevent a lot of future problems.
