Windows 10 Windows 10 Update Error, new HP laptop

I bought a new HP laptop from local store and got windows 10 with it, when I started it and go for updates, it shows error with the windows update and can't proceed further, how to troubleshoot this problem, do I contact to HP or I contact to Windows for this problem. Some technical guy will come to my house or I have to take this machine to vendor, suggest me the appropriate way to get out of this issue.
