Originally updated Win 7 to 10 successfully as soon as available with many updates installed .subsequently without any hassle.

Recently this changed. Last successful update 1803, but then failed right up to recent 1909, error code 0xc004f075. This error code is meaningless - does not produce any answers from search engine. The 'Answer' given alongside the error code says that something unspecified has stopped the update being installed. Subsequent attempts for the latest update using Windows Update Assistant made no difference - same code, same answer.

Can anyone explain what might be causing the problem? What does the error code mean? What part of my system has stopped the installation?
