Troubleshooting Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Installation on USB Flash Drive

Windows 7 6Gb Ram - 3.25Gb Usable
Hey Guys basically i replaced my mobo and installed 6GB ram However i only get 3.25 usable. Before i changed my mobo since it was faulty i had 4GB ram which ran all 4GB ram. Windows 7 Seeking Recommendations for Upgrading Asus K52F Notebook RAM to 8GB DDR3
Im currently using 4GB of RAM ( 2x2GB ) in my Asus K52F notebook, Win7 SP1 x64 and would like to upgrade to 8GB of RAM DDR3.
