I had my head up my a.. and somehow had unchecked the "Hidden" box when I had the...
I can't count the number of times I have had to re-take ownership of folders on my system. It just won't stick. These are folders that meant to be written to- like AppData/Local/Temp and My Documents, My Music, Desktop etc. It's causing havoc.

I'm trying to move my thunderbird profile folder from xp to a win7 folder. The AppData folder in user/(name)/ is hidden.
In xp and vista you can un-hide them. How to do this in Windows 7 :confused:

I am moving data from an old XP computer to a new Vista OS computer. When I try to find the folder for appdata on the Vista computer, supposedly in my user folder, I cannot find it. Is it somehow hidden, and if so, how do I view this folder?
