I upgraded from windows 7 32-bit version to 64-bit ("custom install" - tried using LapLink's "Windows & Upgrade Assistant". Big mistake, but that's another story.) Afterwards, I downloaded 64-bit version of iTunes, and have had many, many problems getting it to install and run. Following...

Hi,
I just upgraded from Vista to 7 RC. I use my laptop a lot to watch DVD's on the 42" plasma in the living room. I use the ATI dongle to go from the back of the laptop and hook up component cable to my TV and output at 720p, worked flawless in Vista, looked great.
I just setup Win 7 with...

I have a intel G33 chipset with a Q9300 processor in a Shuttle Glamour PC. It has both full size Firewire 400 and mini 4wire. I believe the Firewire chip is from Texas Instruments. It seems that anytime I unplug my firewire sound cards or if the sound card stops working, I get an instant BSOD...

Hey all!
I've noticed alot of driver questions coming in since the public release of the RC.. alot of which have been solved but alot that also simply can't be solved due to lack of driver support at this point in time.. ;)
I just want to remind those new to testing a RC.. Though Windows 7...

I'm in the market for a new case. I want to transfer my OEM HP into the new case for now and later on buy parts for a build later on down the road. My question is: What is the better position of the PSU, top mount or bottom mount? Does is really matter or is it preference?
my old xp desktop finally died after multiple power source/ram/external hd upgrades and i gave in a bought a new dell vista desktop. if i remove the internal hd from my old xp, is there a way to upload it to my new dell vista without transfering everything to an external hd, i would but my old...
I am having a very strange issue during the install. I recently got some new components. My old computer included 2 80GB drives in RAID-0 (SATA) for the OS and a 320GB for files. I decided to just split the two 80GB drives between two computers for the OS and put the 320GB in one for files and a...

Has anyone used nLite to install Windows 7 and strip it of some of the components?
I'm about to do a clean install of a newer build.
Thanks for any help you can give.
I tried Roxio 2009 when I first started using Windows 7 and the console wouldn't work but the components did. I used it tonight and got a prompt for an update and installed it Now the console works. I'm using 64 bit Windows 7. I saw some other posts about it here.

Well it arrived today and I've been messing with it since... I was really impressed with the retail cooler that comes with the chip although it needed lapping. I've been trying various settings and have only pushed it to 3.4GHz for the moment, in fact here's a screenie...

Hey all, I know WebDAV has been hell ever since MS messed things up with Windows Vista. They had to issue a patch to update the components after vista was released and now WebDAV is an even bigger pain in the arse with Windows 7.

I have an XFX 610i (nForce chipset) motherboard, and of course, Windows 7 works great with everything but the ethernet. Manually installing the driver didn't work, and I didn't feel like waiting for updates. I figured that this was a good time to get a gigabit ethernet card to use for the time...
