Regular readers may remember the much ballyhoed LG tablet. LG's VP of Marketing famously bragged that his company's tablet would be "better than the iPad". The tablet was said to have a focus on...

BP has successfully installed a new sealing cap on the leaking Gulf of Mexico oil well, company officials say.
It is hoped the new cap will stop the leak and capture all the oil before it can pour into the sea.
But BP warned the cap...

BP chief operating officer Doug Suttles said the firm was now shifting to a new strategy to stop the spill.
In the failed procedure - known as "top kill" - the firm had been blasting waste material...

Sukonka announced that she would release Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Build 7201 from winmain_win7ids_sp branch (don't mix up with winmain_sp branch) this evening. Both x86 & x64. The build she will release is 6.1.7201.0.winmain_win7ids_sp.090601-xxxx (however WZor has already reported that build...

No longer using the Vista style logo, Windows 7's 'in light' logo has been leaked on the Microsoft China website (along with a MSChina event), and at PCBETA. It seems Windows 7 is trying to break away from Vista in all ways in order to...
According to SoLoR, who is usually correct about these things, build 7127 will be leaking tonight or tomorrow in bot x86 and x64. Apparently it is available right now on Connect for Partners.
PCBeta has screens, but apparently the leak will be coming from Russia.
So, there are torrents out for both flavors of 7106. I assumed it was fake, but I extracted part of the ISO, and every file I checked said 7106. According to a guy on one forum, the english versions were supposed to leak next, but the original leaker has disappeared.
Well, according to a post from SoLoR, who has been more accurate than anyone up to this point, the Win 7 team has reached a milestone, and have jumped build numbers up to 7105. The build string is 6.1.7105.0.winmain.090404-1235.
As I said, and most of you probably know already, SoLoR seems to...
Hi guys.
What is the REAL true status of build 7048. Reading some of the various rumours apparently Microsoft hasn't even STARTED on 7048.
Now if it's a FAKE it's got to be a really good one -- I doubt whether any even experienced hacker could integrate the proper final version if IE8 into the...
Yep, it leaked yesterday, not as an iso, but as the files ripped from the DVD. However, some people out there have taken it upon themselves to make a bootable DVD. There are both torrents and Rapidshare links available. Have fun guys
I just read on Neowin.net and verified by going to https://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/default.aspx that Microsoft has added a link to the top of their Windows 7 page to download the beta. It is not funtioning as of this time.
Could this be an early Christmas present for the public...
According to certain sites, Vista SP1 64bit was available via the update utility(as of 22-02-08). This 'loophole' has now been closed but I just wondered if anyone out there has had any experience of this?
