I'm running Win7 Pro 64-bit.
Icons on my taskbar to the left of the notification area no longer show up. (The icons in the notification area are displayed.)
I recreated iconcache.db and replaced iconcache.db with a backup made before the problem began but neither fixed the problem.

I used to buy “Balance Bars”. I bought them for years. Then one day I noticed their proud announcement of a “bold new look”. That new look went beyond the box. The US RDA percentage of every vitamin and mineral went from 25% to 15%. They became a nutrition bar that, in its “new and improved”...

This is pretty much what I requested from the Win8 Build Team.
W/ this, no more need for the previous separate Shut Down & Restart buttons; although they can stay on Start, as tiles. And, better than Alt+F4...better than anything, really. Way better than, Charms>Settings!
Still hope we...

As an example, I have 2 editors pinned to the Quick Launch bar...
