I'm VERY sure that I downloaded the x64, as the filename...

October 22, that's the date Windows 7 will hit retail shelves and start being sold on new PCs around the...
Now I realize that these "leaked" versions are not official by any means, but does anyone know for sure if Microsoft will actually send anymore updates to those of us who are on the 7100 RC, via Windows Update or is 7100 the only version we will see until the actual retail, for sale release?

I upgraded one of my Vista Home Premium computers to Windows 7 Release Candidate.
When the retail version of Windows 7 is released will I still be able to just purchase the upgrade version or will I have to purchase the full version?
Just wondering as my Vista has been over written now on this...
"In tough economic times, I think it's naive to believe that you can increase your prices on average and then still see a strong swell than if you held prices flat or even lowered them. I can tell you that the licensing tiers at retail are more expensive than they were for Vista." Link Removed...

I'm pretty good with Windows, but I've never tried running a Beta version or RC version before, and I have a question. It's probably a dumb question, but I haven't seen a topic address it so I'm just going to go ahead and ask.
Microsoft updates the release candidate regularly, but as it...

I read this piece on the Zdnet web site concerning activation for vista and how it may differ from activation in the past. It gives advise on how many times you can do it for OEM and retail copies. Plus advise if your an 'hardcore re-installer'!

Anyone know when this will be available on MSDN or in retail? I'm ready to buy Vista but I really want an official DVD with SP1 integrated. I will probably buy Vista SP1 Ultimate OEM (whenever that is available - should be quicker than the retail package though right?)
