startup issues

My windows 8 computer stays black when I start it. I can't see anything, I've been waiting hours and the screen stays black All I did was hit a lot of buttons at once and then my computer shut off. Now I restart it and it stays black. What is wrong here???? PLEASE HELP

So I have a new Windows 8.1 build and its been having quite a few problems. On start ups if I don't go into bios before loading into windows I get a blue screen. I also get lots of crashes, usually when playing games. If you need me to upload any other files let me know. Thanks in advance, Edward.
