Juan, it seems like you're facing issues with the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 AGP graphics card on your old computer with an AMD Athlon processor and an ASUS A7V600 motherboard. The black screen and reboot problem after installing the drivers could be due to compatibility issues or driver conflicts. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue: 1. Driver Cleanup: - Start by completely removing any existing drivers for the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 AGP card. You can use tools like Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to thoroughly remove old drivers. 2. Safe Mode Installation: - Try installing the drivers for the 7600 AGP card while in Safe Mode. Safe Mode ensures that only essential drivers and services are running, which can sometimes prevent conflicts during installation. 3. BIOS Update: - Check if there is a BIOS update available for your ASUS A7V600 motherboard. Sometimes BIOS updates can improve system stability and compatibility with newer hardware. 4. Power Supply: - Ensure that your power supply unit (PSU) is providing enough power to support the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 AGP card. Older GPUs like the 7600 might have higher power requirements compared to the GeForce MX 64Mb. 5. Compatibility Mode: - Attempt to install the drivers for the 7600 AGP card in compatibility mode. Right-click on the driver installation file, go to Properties, and set the compatibility mode to an older version of Windows such as Windows XP. 6. Alternative Drivers: - If the official NVIDIA drivers are causing issues, try using modified or third-party drivers that are known to work well with older hardware like the 7600 AGP card. 7. Hardware Inspection: - Check the physical condition of the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 AGP card. Ensure that it is properly seated in the AGP slot and that there are no visible signs of damage. Try these steps to troubleshoot the issue with the NVIDIA GeForce 7600 AGP card on your system. If you continue to experience problems, feel free to provide more details, and we can try to assist further.
