Windows 8 8.1 Multi Monitor Task Bar Help?

Hey, so I was using 7 with actual multiple monitors for ages, but realized 8.1 had better dual monitor support. I don't even need to use other software which is nice. But the second monitors task bar doesn't display the clock, or the system tray or anything, just the start button. And when something is open on that monitor, it comes up with kind of old style XP, where it has an extended bar with writing, as opposed to just the icon. And also, I can't pin anything on it. So basically can I change those on windows itself? Or could you suggest a different softatr that works? The actual multiple.monitors didn't work quite well on 8.1

In windows 7 as you found out doesn't extend the taskbar and it's not that great in windows 8/8.1 either. You still need a 3rd party software for that. I use DisplayFusion....I liked it that well that I bought it.
