Hi
I've been struggling to get Cortana to work right ever since I installed the retail version of Windows 10.
Well the update to the new version that installed today seems to have fixed it.
Cortana will now play my music when I ask her, if I ask "Hey Cortana, where am I" she now says that I'm in Ada, MI not a graveyard on the other side of the county.
She won't say my street address but at least were in the ballpark.
Other things work as well, when I ask, "When did Abraham Lincoln die?" she says April, 15 1865, verbally.
Most other aspects seem to be working better as well.
Finally!!!
The thing that really amazes me it that I can whisper and she still understands me and responds.
I've had text to speech software in the past that forced you to talk slowly and loud, this is great by comparison. I'm using a Microsoft Lifecam for my Mic. and it works great.
The other day I called my wife in the other room and got that feedback screech through the system, from over 20 feet and a room away.

I wish that when you mess up the headline it would let you go back and fix it! LOL

Hey @MikeHawthorne ! Good on you! I love Cortana. She has always worked for me. I'm glad things are working better for you.
Thanks for your replies my friend! This is a great forum and I'm learning new things about this W10 up grade every day, and hope I can pass what I'm learning on to others.
Thanks Mike!

Hi
An update: Today when I logged in Cortana asked my to sign in to my Microsoft account.
She didn't do that yesterday, now when I ask her where I'm at she gives my street address within a couple of house numbers.
She obviously isn't getting the address from the information that I entered but she is very close, however she's doing it.

Hi OrangeJuice911
After Windows 8 Windows, 10 was a welcome change.
I've run it since the day the beta became available and I think it's pretty well got the bugs out now.
It will be interesting to see how it progresses from here, if it's really the last Windows number and it's only going to evolve from here.
I guess I'll believe that when I see it. LOL
But it works great on my computer, and it's faster than any of the previous version for me.
