I was attempting edit something that required a .jar file earlier for a steam game, and I ended up with every single .exe on my system (including the important stuff that would help me fix this mess like, command prompt). Is there a way I can fix this without having to restore the system to factory settings?

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Have you tried this fix yet
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2688326

Thing is, I can't open Regedit.exe. Would there be a way I could open it using command prompt in safe mode?

The "fix it" file which you can download and or run is not a .exe file, it's a .msi file and shouldn't be impacted by your current problem.

Oh I'm sorry, I didn't notice the download. I will try running that right now. Thanks a bunch.

It did not solve the problem.

Try the
exefix_cu.reg
Link located in this article here and see if that helps at all
