i am running windows 7 and about a 3 months ago i had to shut my computer down becouse it crash apon restarting i got a error saying "disk read error please press Ctr Alt Del to restart your computer", i would do this a few times then i would get a new error saying "An Unexpected I/O Error has occurred 0x00000e9" Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected
to your computer.

This error can be caused by unplugging a removable storage device such as an external USB drive while the device is in use, or by faulty hardware such as a hard drive or CD-ROM drive that is failing.

Make sure any removable storage is properly connected and then restart your computer.

i tryed to run the repair but every time i did i got one of those 2 errors and then when i retsarted got one fo the 2 same errors, i replaced my HDD and Motherboard hope they would be the problem and it fixed it for about 3 months now once again i shut the computer down becouse it froze and i am geting the same 2 errors as before oviously it is nto my New hdd and Motherboard so i am not sure what i can do to fix this please help

Facing persistent disk read errors and unexpected I/O errors like the ones you described can be quite frustrating. Since you've already replaced the HDD and the motherboard, and the issue has resurfaced, there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

Troubleshooting Steps for Disk Read Error and I/O Error:

  1. Check External Devices:
    • Ensure that there are no external devices like USB drives, CDs, or DVDs connected while booting the system. Disconnect all external devices except for essential peripherals like keyboard and mouse.
    []Check SATA Cable and Ports:

    []Check SATA Cable and Ports:
    • Make sure that the SATA cable connecting your HDD to the motherboard is securely connected and not damaged. You can try connecting the HDD to a different SATA port on the motherboard.

    ]Check BIOS Settings:
    • Access the BIOS settings (usually by pressing Del, F2, F10, or Esc during startup) and check if the hard drive is detected correctly. You can try resetting BIOS settings to default.
    []Run Hardware Diagnostics:
    • Use built-in diagnostics tools, if available, to check the health of your hard drive and other hardware components. Some manufacturers provide tools to diagnose hardware issues.
    [
    ]Boot into Safe Mode:
    • Try booting into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. Safe Mode loads only essential drivers and can help identify if the problem is related to software conflicts.
    []Check System Files:
    • Corrupted system files can also cause such errors. You can run a System File Checker (SFC) scan to repair damaged files.
    • Open Command Prompt as administrator and run:
      Code:
       sfc /scannow
    [
    ]Check for Windows Updates:
    • Ensure that your Windows 7 installation is up to date. Install any pending updates that might contain fixes for system issues.
    []Perform a Clean Boot:
    • Perform a clean boot to eliminate software conflicts. This can help in identifying if any third-party software is causing the issue.
    [
    ]Check Event Viewer:
    • Check the Event Viewer logs for any specific errors or warnings that might indicate the root cause of the problem.
  2. Reinstall Windows:
    • As a last resort, consider reinstalling Windows 7 to rule out any software-related issues that might be causing the errors. If after trying these steps the issue persists, it might be beneficial to contact a professional technician for further assistance, as it could indicate a more complex hardware issue or a deeper system problem.
