When I click in Win7 the menu

Start->Control Panel then I found a sub entry "Adminstrative Tools".

In good ol' WinXP I could expand a sub context menu by just hovering on it.
In Win7 I have to click on "Administrative Tools" to get a dialog window with all the tools.

Is there a way to let the "Administrative Tools" menu auto-expand sub-menu with hovering not by clicking?

In Windows 7, the behavior you are describing is by design. Unlike in Windows XP, where submenus would expand on hover, in Windows 7 and later versions, including Windows 10, you need to click on a submenu to expand it. However, there is a way to achieve a similar effect by customizing the Start Menu settings. You can enable a setting that will expand the All Programs submenu automatically when you hover over it. Here's how you can do it: 1. Accessing the Start Menu Properties: - Right-click on the Start button and select "Properties". 2. Customizing the Start Menu: - In the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window, go to the "Start Menu" tab. 3. Enabling Hover to Expand: - Check the box next to "Open submenus when I...

After making these changes, when you hover over the "Administrative Tools" menu in the Start menu, it should automatically expand to show its contents. Please note that modifying these settings can affect how the Start Menu behaves, so make sure to test it out to see if it meets your requirements.
