I have joined this forum in the hope i can get help and advise in deploying windows 7, I have been deploying windows 7 for the last 7 months as a contractor for two different clients.
Both clients have had different ways of doing the deployment, however both have the same concerns about data and how to make sure that you collect all the data you require off the user old desktop before you deploy windows 7.

one of the problems i have had is users that seem to save data in the wierdest places, and when you format that hard drive they then seem to be missing that NK2 or PST that you search for in the default locations and was not there. the other ploblem is even if you have found these PST files is migrating to somewhere safe .

Has anyone got any Idea on ways to make sure that users migrate there data and how to do it that hasnt got a high network cost and the use of a external hard drive?
