Have tried installing windows 7

Boot from dvd ok,
Unpacks files and starts windows.
brings up the windows 7 light blue screen and freezes I was expecting questions about language and time zone but nothing

It would seem patience was the solution. on a earlier PC it took just a few seconds for the screens to populate but took an age to fully install.

This time it took an age for the screens to populate but the actual installation took less the 35 minutes very odd!

It sounds like you encountered a bit of a delay during the Windows 7 installation process. While it can be unsettling when the installation screens take longer to populate, it's great to hear that the actual installation itself completed in less than 35 minutes. Here are a few points to consider regarding your Windows 7 installation experience: 1. Initialization Time: The time taken for installation screens to populate can vary depending on the hardware specifications of your system, especially the speed of your hard drive or solid-state drive (SSD), RAM, and the processor. Slower hardware might result in longer initialization times. 2. Installation Process: Once the installation screens are fully populated, the actual...

Slower hardware might result in longer initialization times. 2. Installation Process: Once the installation screens are fully populated, the actual installation process itself can be relatively quick, as you experienced. The installation duration is influenced by factors like the speed of your storage device, the amount of data being processed, and the overall system performance. 3. Behavior Differences: It's not uncommon to notice differences in installation behavior between various computers. The time taken for each step of the installation process can vary based on the system's capabilities and the specific setup of the installation environment. Since you were able to successfully install Windows 7 despite the initial delay, it seems like everything went smoothly in the end. If you encounter any further issues or have more questions about your Windows 7 installation, feel free to ask for assistance!
