have u overclocked your pc , installed any new hardware?

Yes I think I can narrow down the issue, I purchased this game on Steam (Frozen Synapse) today, thirty seconds into the game is BSOD, it's has done it three times already. I haven't had any problems with BSOD in a long time (Had them when I first installed W7) so I had a feeling that it was the game but I wanted to make sure by putting up the mini dump on here. Thanks alot for the help.

if its only doing it during game play then it may either be your driver or grapghics card, overheating or bad overclock

Perhaps but I have tried other games that are very high demanding (Crysis, metro, DOW2) and they run fine with no problems. The crashing issue is happening at the main menu of the game, I have yet to get to actual gameplay because of the crashing. I have my 6950 to the latest driver and the video card doesn't really go past 65C when I play. Also I forgot to mention in my previous post that everything on my computer is at stock settings and very clean (In terms on dust).

EDIT: After looking at the game's website I found out that the game has problems with AMD 6900 series video cards and to disable an option in the game to fix the issue.

Hi Priest666x any chance you'd like to explain which setting on the off chance somebody else has the same problem as you?

i would say Set the vsync to always on in the control centre ( CCC i beleive its called)

The suggestion I was giving was to "Please quickly load the game, play offline -> options -> check "disable menu backgrounds" and quit. This should now work without crashing when you restart".

There was also a link to the game's cofig file incase you was unable to get into the settings before the game crashed (I did not put the link because I don't know if linking is allowed here). There is another issue with this game that it does not work well with any AMD 6900 series cards. The solution for that was to go into AMD Catalyst Control Center and enable V-sync and that should fix the issue of the game not starting (I guess the second solution is irrelevant since it's not to fix BSOD).

In case anyone didn't read the game I was speaking of, the game is Frozen Synapse and these are the solutions incase you get BSOD while starting this game. Good luck.

Thanks for that the info could be most useful for when I eventually get around to putting my 6990 in.
