I have encountered a very unusual error I run WIN 7 HP on my Dell Inspiration and I have been installing and testing some new software. That means I install then uninstall Now if I cold boot up, all works fine. However if I try to put the system in hibernate or sleep on power up it shows the correct desktop and then Win 7 hits a hard error and Blue Screen and dumps memory I have NO idea how to fix it, I would guess that the uninstall of one of the programs deleted a required file, but how doI find it?

Any help would be grateful,
Bob

Two things to try:

1. System restore back to before the problem occurred.

2. Run a check for damaged or missing system files - run a command screen as administrator and execute the command:
sfc /scannow
