Hi people!

I just got myself a Sony Vaio S1511V9E about a month ago and it's been working exemplary until one week ago.
I have started getting a BSOD - PFN_LIST_CORRUPT and some 04e-something for the stop code.
A friend told me that this forum was the way to go to analyze what driver is giving me this BSOD. I have attached the last two of my BSODs.

Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Solution
You've ruled out the most likely of the 3rd party drivers - so this is starting to look like a hardware problem. Try the free diagnostics here: Link Removed Start with MemTest and the hard drive diagnostics - then do the rest if everything passes.

Good luck!

I'm running late for work, so here's the unedited output of my analysis.
Any questions, please post back.
I'll look at the other reports after work today.

One of the memory dumps blames your Avast. Please:
- scan your system with one of these free scans in order to ensure that your Avast isn't compromised: Link Removed
- download a fresh copy of Avast
- un-install Avast
- IMMEDIATELY install the fresh copy of Avast and update it.
- Then perform a full system scan with the freshly updated copy of Avast.

Please update these older drivers. Links are included to assist in looking up the source of the drivers. If unable to find an update, please remove (un-install) the program responsible for that driver. DO NOT manually delete/rename the driver as it may make the system unbootable! :

Memory_management xx01A

Uninstalled Saitek-software, but the BSOD(the PFN-one) started before i got the saitek keyboard.
I have now replaced Avast with Microsoft Security Essentials. Is this a good idea?

Got another two BSODs this morning(attached).
It's the same "PFN_LIST_CORRUPT 4e" as before. This is happening even after uninstalling Avast and saitek software.

You've ruled out the most likely of the 3rd party drivers - so this is starting to look like a hardware problem. Try the free diagnostics here: Link Removed Start with MemTest and the hard drive diagnostics - then do the rest if everything passes.

Good luck!
