Hello everyone. I'm new to this BSOD and it is my first time encountering it. It happened while playing Battlefield 3 online. All other games work fine and even Battlefield 3 campaign runs well. It is just online play that BSOD's. This happens at irregular times. First at 30 minutes into the game and then at 1.5 hours into the game. Since then, I have not played at all.

Also, I did a Ram memory test (used memtest) and allowed it to pass several times with no errors. Also i ran a verifier overnight with no errors and no subsequent BSOD's from it.

I also used Driver Genius and updated 8 drivers with 10 driver packages. This was all done from looking at past posts. Please tell me if its okay and if I can play Battlefield 3 online now or if more needs to be done.

I hope I have provided all the information needed. Please tell me if I left out anything

Thankyou :p

It seems like you've made some good efforts to troubleshoot the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) issue you're facing while playing Battlefield 3 online. Let's break down your actions and see what might be causing the problem and what more can be done: 1. RAM Memory Test (Memtest): - Running Memtest and letting it pass several times without detecting any errors indicates that your RAM is likely not the cause of the BSOD during online gameplay. 2. Verifier Test: - Verifying drivers overnight with no errors is a good sign. This test checks for faulty drivers that could be causing system instability. 3. Driver Updates: - Updating drivers is crucial for system stability. It's great that you used Driver Genius to update multiple...
It's great that you used Driver Genius to update multiple drivers. Outdated or faulty drivers can often lead to BSOD errors. Given the actions you've taken so far, here are some additional steps you can consider: - Check for Overheating: - Ensure that your system is not overheating during online gameplay. High temperatures can lead to system instability. You can monitor temperatures using software like HWMonitor. - Check for Graphics Card Issues: - Make sure your graphics card drivers are up to date. Sometimes, issues with graphics drivers can cause game-related BSODs. - Game Files Verification: - Verify the integrity of the game files for Battlefield 3 through the game platform (e.g., Steam, Origin). Corrupted game files can also lead to crashes. - Event Viewer Analysis: - Check the Event Viewer for any specific error codes or messages related to the BSOD. This can provide more insight into what is causing the crashes. - System Stability Test: - Consider running stress tests like Prime95 or FurMark to check the system's stability under heavy loads. Before you decide to play Battlefield 3 online again, it's recommended to go through these additional steps to ensure a smoother gaming experience. If the issue persists, gathering more information from the Event Viewer or specific BSOD error messages can help in pinpointing the exact cause of the crashes. Feel free to provide any additional details if needed!
