UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f)
This means a trap occurred in kernel mode, and it's a trap of a kind
that the kernel isn't allowed to have/catch (bound trap) or that
is always instant death (double fault). The first number in the
bugcheck params is the number of the trap (8 = double fault, etc)
Consult an Intel x86 family manual to learn more about what these
traps are. Here is a *portion* of those codes:
If kv shows a taskGate
use .tss on the part before the colon, then kv.
Else if kv shows a trapframe
        use .trap on that value
Else
.trap on the appropriate frame will show where the trap was taken
(on x86, this will be the ebp that goes with the procedure KiTrap)
Endif
kb will then show the corrected stack.
Arguments:
Arg1: 00000008, EXCEPTION_DOUBLE_FAULT
Arg2: 801df000
Arg3: 00000000
Arg4: 00000000

And the Nobel Prize for Consistent Persistence goes to...........

Well see it's not all up to supporters, especially when it comes to locating faulty hardware - 10 pages is not the limit really.

Yes I know thanks. It uninstalled now. Hoping when I get my ram back my desktop will be fine.

Let's hope, but if crashes resume don't hesitate to post more. ; )

back to square 1

Got my ram back today and worked for a good few hours and now its doing all the same. It froze a few times as it did before and I got that hw overclock message. Very seldom the monitor will go black and go to stand by and just sit there till I manually restart. Maybe I should be looking at the video card I dont know. It hard to believe that all these bsod show the true culprit because of all the other symptoms. But you guys would know best.

Likely defective memory though, or incorrect bios settings for it.

Do yourself a huge favor. Either RMA the RAM or purchase new RAM and forget all the problems. :)

Those all I posted do have updates though. They're not the issue anyhow.

I got back the ram today from RMA. Could you post where the updates are? On the Gigabyte website, it shows I already have the ones for my motherboard. Im running in Linux Knoppix right now and it seems to be fine. Gskill told me the ram I sent them was defective and they test before they send a new set out. Im going to notify them and see what they say. I hope they cover the shipping charge if it needs to go back. Like I was saying before, my monitor would go to standby sometimes and I can do anything but hit restart. Any idea what thats about?

Go in the bios and make Load the Optimized Defaults on the first page and save the settings.

I posted links to each and every driver update already.

I looked at your links. Im updating the video card driver right now fro Nivida. everything else seems to be already up to date. That AMD ATI link you sent doesnt seem to relate my computer. I dont have onboard display and everything is ATI, I have nothing to pick the categories.
