Can I use Win 7 Home Premium Key to install Professional version?

My computer came with Home Premium and I have the key on the back of my computer.

Can I install Win 7 Professional using the same key?

I just tried installing Win 7 Professional and it gave me a message:

The Product Key Does not Match Current Windows SKU

Can someone help?

The short answer is no.
The key is for a different licence and so won't be accepted.

No, you cannot use the same product key. You should have received a new product key when you PURCHASED the Professional Edition.
