Windows 10 Can't Back Out of Cortana in Start Menu - Solved

Hello, Windows Forum!

Having a bit of an issue with 10 that maybe somebody else has solved. I opened my start menu and started removing the pre-installed apps to personalize it, like I'd done with 8, and came across the Cortana button. I clicked it out of curiosity and after a while it demanded I make a Microsoft account to continue. I don't want to. But there's no button on the window now occupying my Start menu to decline, and go back to my Start menu.

This is all I have: upload_2015-7-29_17-11-5.png

Really? No "back" or "cancel" button?

Thanks for any input.

To anyone encountering this problem - just force quit explorer.exe and reboot it in the task manager.
