Windows 7 can't upgrade to win7 on a vaio notebook

these is what i did so far, so many hours wasted pls. help

tried upgrade to windows7 from a pre-loaded vista
but, error will say "can't upgrade, i need to have a service pack 1 running"
went to sony website and updated all the progams that needs to be updated but still the same

i tried clean install, it install fine but since it wiped out everything, it only runs on a standard vga
format, can't update the graphics card it won't let me

fomat hard drive, clean install a home premium vista, updated all the progams
and tried to ugrade to windows 7 again but it's still the same..something about
should be running service pack 1


sony vaio vgn-fz348e
intel core duo t5450
bluray disk drive
nvidia geforce 8400m gt
32-bit operating system
2g memory

trying to upgrade to windows 7 home premium 64-bit version

An upgrade is not the route to take. It leaves useless files on your system and can cause conflicts.

Save all you Documents, Pictures, contacts, videos, music, etc to a flash drive,

Be aware, you will need to re-insatllall your 3rd party applcations.
