Windows 10 Changing Windows 10 user accounts

I have a new Acer Aspire E5-574 laptop that cam with Windows 10 pre-installed.

I now have a single admin user account using MS Live.

I now wish to change this account to a local account but I find that this is impossible. I have found on the internet simple instructions as how this can be done. However when I go to the user account page I find, firstly, that there is no tab on the left for "Your Account" and, secondly) when I try to add another account that this does not work.

It appears that the system is completely locked to my current account.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried All Settings (from Action Center from bottom left corner of the desktop) and from there to Accounts?

This bizare. After a Windows update I can now access nd modify my account!!!!!

I think that update was being installed and blocking access
