Windows 7 COM Ports disappear after being set

Hi i finally was able to find the COM Ports on Windows 7 Home Premium after going through some posts.All I did was:Control Panel-> Firewall-> Advanced Settings-> Inbound or Outbound.Clicked on a program name in Inbound connections and tried to allow Edge traversal which was previously blocked.After restarting the computer, I could see the Protocols and COM/LPT Ports in the Device Manager.However, after shut down ,these ports are not to be seen even after I have repeated the same settings.

Any help related to this would be much appreciated

What is your goal here? If you are trying to enable specific com ports on a device, you do that in Devices and Printers.
