Windows XP Connect to wifi with adaptor

Hi. Ive tried setting up a wifi adapter on win xp. It says im connected but im not getting any web pages at all. Can Anyone pls help. Many thanks

Can you open a command prompt(admin) and run ipconfig .all and post the output here.
 
How's the WiFi secured.

Have you tried WPA2 PSK shouldn't need a certificate just the wifi password.
 
You don't need a wired connection for it to work. What instructions are these?

Can you do an ipconfig /all in an admin command prompt and post it here. Oh and I'm going to remove my name from your post.
 
yes just type ipconfig /all will show your configured networts
