Windows 7 CPU throttling for Asus F8SN notebook

Hi folks,

Just upgraded Vista to Win7 (install over) on ASUS F8SN. Looks good except can't install drivers for chipset. It says "ACPI x86 - based PC" no matter what. I downloaded pack from Intel (chipset 965G express). Install seems OK, but device manager still not showing system name.

Reason why I care is because CPU throttling does not seem to work. On any power profile CPU clock always is at the top range I specify in the profile.

I guess two questions, how do I force chipset driver and what's preventing CPU throttling?

Any idea is appreciated.

Sorry missed some details. Win 7 Ultimate 32bit SP1. It's not the video driver I'm missing. Video is Nvidia and works not bad (for Nvidia) .

Never mind. The T5550 junk has only two multiplier steps: x6 and x11. Setting max to 50% makes it stay at x6.
