Hello everybody,
I've been having a recurring problem with my Dell Latitude D620. I bought it around four years ago with Windows Vista, then I downgraded to XP with few problems.* Around half a year ago, I upgraded to Windows 7, and everything was going ok until my computer started mysteriously crashing sometimes when I close the lid. I have power settings set so that a lid close will send my computer to sleep. I know there's a BSOD that appears when this happens, but since it only crashes on lid close I rarely notice it until I open my lid back up and my computer is completely off. Does anybody know why this is? Some additional info that might or might not be helpful:
-*With XP, my wireless would sometimes have trouble connecting to my home network for mysterious and (to me) unexplainable reasons. My computer would sometimes crash back then after my repeated attempts to turn off then turn on the wireless.
-The crashing with Windows 7 seems to be slightly more likely to happen if there are Windows Updates that I haven't installed (but this isn't a hard and fast rule).
-I might also have an overheating problem (possibly with my video card?), but although my computer gets incredibly hot, there doesn't seem to be any performance issues that I've noticed.
I've attached the most recent three minidumps (I believe they were from three separate crashes of the same kind), and a screenshot of the CPU stats that another thread told me to attach.
Thanks in advance for any help, and since I'm not terrific with technology, sorry in advance for any follow-up questions!
