Why would a program shortcut not work, yet clicking on an .exe file does? I tried deleting the desktop icon and creating a new icon, based directly on exe and yet any such shortcut I make does not work. I can see that the program is loading, but after a couple of seconds it quits. I was able to verify this by using Windows Task Manager. Yet the program runs fine if you click directly on the .exe file.
