Windows Vista Desktop Theme Damaged Windows

So i installed a theme on windows 7 and didn't like it, so i tried to go back to my previous theme but when i click "personalize" nothing happens. Also if i go to control panel a window pops up but nothing is in it. HELP!!

Sounds like you have a virus or a bootlegged copy of Windows.

well my virus software never detected anything, and this is not a bootleg version of windows 7, i've even tried scanning my computer and nothing comes up
