I need to restrict the action to not admin users in the tablet model: venue 10 pro.
I updated win 8.1 to win 10 pro. I install the Administrative Templates (.admx) for Windows 10 downloaded from the link below.

Link Removed

Most of restrictions I was able to activate but:
  • windows settings (from start button),
  • display setting
  • personalise (theme, color lock screen...)

although I set all the voices present in the path below they didn't take place

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Personalization
User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Control Panel\Display

How can i solve that issue?

Thanks

To apply restrictions on Windows 10 Pro, especially for non-admin users on your Dell Venue 10 Pro tablet, the Group Policy settings need to be correctly configured. Here's how you can address the issue with the restrictions not properly applying to settings like Windows settings, display settings, and personalization, despite configuring the Group Policy settings:

Ensure Administrative Templates Path Configuration:

  1. Open Group Policy Management Editor: Press Win + R, type gpedit.msc, and hit Enter.
  2. Navigate to: User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Control Panel > Personalization.
  3. Double-click on each relevant setting (e.g., "Prevent changing lock screen and logon image") to configure...

  3. Double-click on each relevant setting (e.g., "Prevent changing lock screen and logon image") to configure the restrictions.

    Verify User Permission Levels:

  4. Ensure that the non-admin user accounts are set with the correct permissions. Admin accounts naturally have more privileges, so non-admin accounts might encounter restrictions applied by group policies.
  5. Check the specific User Configuration settings applied to non-admin users.

    Run GPUpdate:

After making any changes in Group Policy, run gpupdate /force in the Command Prompt as an administrator to force an update of Group Policy settings.

    Additional Steps:

  6. Check Scope of Group Policy: Verify that the Group Policy settings you've configured apply specifically to non-admin users.
  7. Restart: After making any changes, restart the Dell Venue 10 Pro tablet to apply the new Group Policy settings. If the settings are still not applying correctly, review the Group Policy settings and also ensure that any conflicting policies are not overriding the restrictions you are trying to enforce. Additionally, confirm that the specific settings you are configuring are supported by Windows 10 Pro and can be applied to non-admin users. Let me know if you need further assistance with applying these restrictions effectively on your Dell Venue 10 Pro tablet.
