The problem you described, where there are black bars on the left and right sides of the laptop screen instead of using the entire screen, is a common occurrence when using multiple monitors with different resolutions or aspect ratios. To fix this issue and make sure that your laptop display utilizes the entire screen space, you can follow these steps:

Adjust Display Settings in Windows:

    • Click on "Advanced display settings" and choose the correct resolution for your laptop display.
    • Ensure that the resolution matches the native resolution of your laptop screen.
    • You can also adjust the scaling settings to make sure the content fits the screen properly.
    []Check Graphics Card Settings:
    • If you have dedicated graphics card software (like NVIDIA Control Panel or AMD Catalyst Control Center), check the display settings there as well.
    • Ensure that the aspect ratio settings and scaling options are appropriate for your setup.

    • After making the necessary changes, restart your laptop to apply the settings.
