When you're dealing with programs that are falsely detected by ESET NOD32, here are some methods you can try to prevent force deletion of detected files while keeping real-time protection active:

Folder Exclusion:

  1. Manual Exclusion:
    • Add the specific folder where you download the files to the exclusion list in ESET NOD32. This prevents the software from scanning and possibly detecting the files in that location.
    []Exclusion Policies:
    • Modify Exception policies if available in ESET NOD32 to set rules for excluding files by certain criteria.

      Custom Scan Configurations:

    ]Custom Scans:
    • Configure a custom on-demand scan with specific exclusions based on file size, extension, or other attributes. This way, the program won't detect certain files during manual scans.

      Behavior Monitoring:

    []Behavior Analysis:
    • Check if behavior monitoring is causing the false positive. Adjust the settings to be less sensitive to prevent flagging legitimate programs.

      Application Rules:

    [
    ]Allow Known Applications:
    • Set application rules in ESET NOD32 to exclude certain trusted applications that are falsely flagged.

      Reporting to ESET:

    []False Positive Reporting:
    • Consider reporting the false positive directly to ESET. They can analyze the files and update their virus definitions to prevent the false detection in the future.

      Contacting Support:

    [
    ]ESET Customer Support:
    • Reach out to ESET's customer support for assistance in handling false detections. They may provide specific guidance tailored to your situation. By utilizing these strategies, you can set up ESET NOD32 to avoid force deleting files that are falsely detected while maintaining real-time protection for your system. Remember to balance security and usability when configuring the software settings.
