I have an 500gb external that ive recently let alot of people use to download movies and tv shows onto their ipods and computers. My problem is that when I open the external all of my folders have been turned into shortcuts that do not open. When I click on properties for the file it says it is a small kb size file but it also says that hundreds of gigs of being used on the external. Is there any hope of restoring my data? What could have caused this?
