Hello,
We have small business with Windows server 2012R2. We have multiple workstations and each is connected with a local printer (USB connection). Our employees access the server thought RDP and print to the local redirected printers.
Recently, we facing problem that after employees rotated between different workstations during the day, the redirected local printer stop responding to print command (they could see the redirected print but nothing print out). Normally at the beginning of the day, redirected printers works fine. The problem started on March 9, 2021.
We have uninstalled Windows KB5000848 updated but did not help us.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Solution
Depending on your system builds you'll want to install the latest KB for all your endpoints.

Microsoft Update Catalog and sort by Last Updated (Those 3/15 or newer)
1616503849847.webp

and the same for server 2012 R2
Hello,
We have multiple workstations and each is connected with a local printer (USB connection). Our employees access the server thought RDP and print to the local redirected printers.
Just to clarify the details:
1) Is each of the workstations connected via USB to a separate printer or do they SHARE a single printer?
2) If each workstation is connected via USB to a printer (they do not share a single printer) why do they need to access the server in order to print?

Each workstation is connected to a separate printer via USB (not shared).
They use workstations to access applications on the server and want to be able to printer to a local printer while working on applications. The reason they use RDP is transfer sessions for the user when moving between workstations.
This setup was working perfectly fine for more than 1 year.

We were keeping up with Windows update for both server and workstations.
Since the problem started after Windows March update, we thought it could be the cause of the problem so we have uninstall with no help.

The patches I mentioned are Out-Of-Band you may not see them through the normal update process.
