Windows 7 Flight Simulator 2004 Videos Crash

All of the training videos in FS2004 crash after 1 or 2 seconds of play, also causing the entire application to crash.

I can run a flight, but can't view any of the videos.

Has anyone else seen this and found a fix?

P.S. Running in XP SP3 compatibility mode and/or opening Media Player before launching FS have both been tried and do not work.

As long as I have had this program, I have never watched the Videos. When I tried, I experienced the same problem as you. I am using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate.

I finally just went to the Flight sim folder under Programs(x86)/Microsoft Games and ran the videos from there.

Thanks for the workaround. At least I can view the videos now.

If anyone has figured out how to fix this from within FS I'm still very interested. It can be difficult to figure out which video to play using this workaround.
