Free tool to protect your MBR

Here is a article about a tool that can help protect your systems MBR from being overridden by malware. It offers similar protections to newer computers using Secure Boot/UEFI.

The easiest way to tell if you are booting legacy vs. UEFI is when the computer first boots. If you see the Windows logo and spinning dots you are using legacy (MBR) booting. If you see your manufacturer logo and spinning dots you are using Secure Boot / UEFI.

Edward Snowden also reported that the US Government put back doors in Cisco products, makes me leery to use anything they provide to protect my MBR ;)

The Gov was supposedly intercepting Cisco's hardware during transport and doing that, so it wasn't happening at Cisco.
