    Hello,
On my new Computer I experience a lot of Blue Screens. The Computer is bought in pieces and self-assembled in October 2011. I am running Win7 on a TrueCrypt encrypted system partition. No other Operation Systems installed so far.

When I assembled it I tested the Memory for ~10 hours with Memtest and had no errors. The Blue Screens appears in all kind of situations. When playing a game, working with OpenOffice, waking up from sleep-mode, or just sitting idle. Sometimes I leave my computer and when I come back 15 minutes later I find it had crashed in the meantime. So no user interaction was necessary.

I only recently started reading the BSOD text and so far encountered "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT" as the crash reason. With the help of the "Debugging tools for Windows" WinDbg-program I looked at some of the minidumps, but couldn't come to a conclusion. I am not sure how to read the output and the easy-to-read part ("Probably caused by : XXX") shows a different XXX almost every dump. I had Pool_Corruption, ntkrnlmp.exe (more often than the others), atikmdag.sys, cdd.dll, memory_corruption, dxgmms1.sys to name some. The crashes seem to become more frequent, especially in ~ the last 2 weeks. But - as always - I didn't change anything! ;-) No honestly, I did uninstall various programs I installed in the past weeks without finding one to blame. And as the crashes didn't go from zero to 100 in one day but increased gradually I have some doubts about an installed program influencing this.

The system is up-to-date with automatic updates and I am running MSE as anti-virus.

I am not sure if this is important, but I have another issue with this system: When transferring large amounts of data via the Gigabit Ethernet connection, I get transmission errors. No message though, but md5-checksums fail. This does not occur for the common "small file quickly done"-transfer, but when copying >2GB in one operation. The system on the other side is Debian 64bit running Samba. So far I am not sure where the transmission errors come from, it might be the Linux system as well.

I attached the CPU-Z Screenshots, my collection of Minidumps and the PassMark RAMMon HTML-Report.

I'd be very happy if you could recommend some actions for me to take to solve this issue.

    Thanks. Lars

Hi Lars and Welcome to The Forum. I took the liberty of pinning your most relevant cpu-z shots. You may want to reformat your post :D.

    STOP 0x0000001A: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

    Usual causes:
    Device driver, memory, kernel.

Your latest dump file lists ntkrnlmp.exe as the probable cause. This is a Windows System file and for it to be the cause of your crash is highly unlikely.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes. Random stop codes can often indicate hardware issues.

    As a Priority:

sptd.sys Sun Mar 22 12:35:35 2009 The sptd.sys driver is notorious for causing BSOD's with Windows 7. It's a driver used and installed along with Daemon Tools and Alcohol 120 which you'll also have to uninstall.
Then use the correct (32bit or 64bit) download from Duplex Secure - Downloads to uninstall the SPTD.SYS driver.
Make sure to select the uninstall button! DO NOT SELECT INSTALL!!

    Hi Elmer,
I'll correct the issues you found and look at how it goes the next days. Hopefully "Random stop codes can often indicate hardware issues." won't be the result for me...

    Thanks for the quick reply.

    Lars
