It seems like you are facing issues with connecting to a FrontPage Extensions server using FrontPage 2003 on Windows 7. The situation where you enter the username and password repeatedly without success, despite it working fine on Windows XP, can be due to compatibility or configuration differences between the two operating systems. User Permissions: - Ensure that the user account you are using on Windows 7 has the necessary permissions to access the FrontPage Extensions server. It's possible that there could be a permission issue causing the repeated login prompts. 3. Firewall Settings: - Check the firewall settings on Windows 7. Make sure that FrontPage 2003 is allowed through the firewall and that it can communicate with the FrontPage Extensions server. 4. Update FrontPage Extensions: - Ensure that the FrontPage Extensions on the server are up to date. Old versions of FrontPage Extensions might not be fully compatible with Windows 7, leading to authentication issues. 5. Network Configuration: - Double-check the network configuration on Windows 7. Ensure that there are no network-related issues preventing successful authentication with the FrontPage server. 6. Recent Updates: - Check if there are any recent updates or patches available for FrontPage 2003 that might address compatibility issues with Windows 7. By following these steps and making sure that your software, permissions, and network settings are correctly configured, you should be able to troubleshoot the issue of connecting to the FrontPage Extensions server on Windows 7. If the issue persists, you may need to further investigate the specific error messages or logs to pinpoint the exact cause of the problem.
