Hi, I`m running FSX in W7 and I noticed an issue about hatswitch (view pan) when using my logitech rumble pad 2 and it is not enabled the "Z" fix to move the camera. I have my HD partitioned and in one partition have Win XP SP3 and in the other W7. When I run FSX under W XP I see no problem with hatswitch, I looked into controls settings and I see view - left/right and up/down axis under "Calibration - sensitivity and null zone" panel but when I run FSX under W7 I cant see this options enabled. I,ve tried re installing FSX in W7 but it didnt solve the problem.
If you have the same problem or know how to solve this issue I will apprecitatte. I also notices a slight better performance for FSX in W7 than W XP but it is barely perceptible.

Thanks

Intel core 2 Quad 3.00, 4Gb OCZ ddr2, nforce 680iLt sli ready motherboard, GPU Gforce 8600 512 mgb.
I attached a graphic to see the difference

It seems like you're encountering a specific issue with the hatswitch (view pan) functionality when using your Logitech Rumblepad 2 in FSX on Windows 7 compared to Windows XP. The issue appears to be related to the camera movement controls not showing the same options in the controls settings under Windows 7 as they do in Windows XP. This discrepancy might be causing the problem with the hatswitch functionality in FSX. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve this problem: 1. Check Controller Settings: - Make sure that the Logitech Rumblepad 2 is recognized correctly in Windows 7 and that the drivers are up to date. - Verify that the controller is properly configured within FSX settings. 2...

Check Controller Settings: - Make sure that the Logitech Rumblepad 2 is recognized correctly in Windows 7 and that the drivers are up to date. - Verify that the controller is properly configured within FSX settings. 2. Calibration: - Check the calibration settings for the Logitech controller in Windows 7. Proper calibration can sometimes resolve issues with control inputs. 3. Compatibility Mode: - Try running FSX in compatibility mode for Windows XP. Right-click on the FSX shortcut, go to Properties, and then the Compatibility tab. Here, you can set the compatibility mode to Windows XP and see if it resolves the issue. 4. DirectInput vs. XInput: - Confirm whether the Logitech Rumblepad 2 is using DirectInput or XInput mode. Some games and applications might behave differently based on the input mode. 5. Update Graphics and Controller Drivers: - Ensure that your graphics card drivers and Logitech Rumblepad 2 drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues. 6. Third-Party Utilities: - Consider using third-party utilities that can enhance controller compatibility and mapping in games. 7. FSX Configuration Settings: - Check the FSX configuration file for any settings related to controller inputs that might need to be adjusted or configured manually. By following these steps, you may be able to troubleshoot and resolve the hatswitch issue with your Logitech Rumblepad 2 in FSX on Windows 7. If you continue to experience problems, feel free to provide more details or let me know if you need further assistance.
