Hi,

I am having an issue form past so many days, when I am connecting to Switch/Router/Server to my laptop through USB-TO-Serial converter for collecting the logs... at that time I am getting blue screen error.

To avoid this issue erlier I had formatted my laptop lots of time, but still I am getting the same issue again and again, even though I had re-installed the proper vendor drivers also I am getting the same issue.

Laptop Make: HP
Laptop Model: EliteBook 8440p
Operating System: Windows 7 Enterprises (64bit)
Converter : Benklin
Converter type: USB TO Serial converter.

Solution
The one Belkin adapter cable I see only seems to go through XP for an OS. Do you have Windows 7 Drivers? Have you tried installing any other drivers in Compatibility mode?

The 64 bit version of Windows is the most restrictive for drivers. A 64 bit XP driver may not work at all.
