I have to install a new Anti-Virus software and I downloaded AVG and Avira. When I go to run the installation file it doesnt give me the option to open it. It just asks me to search for a program to run with it. I'm not sure what the issue is. Ive looked up the AVG program and it says its compatible with Windows 7. Just curious if anyone has this problem and if they have solved it or if anyone has found any solutions to this problem. You would help me out a lot. Thanks

Kyle

Solution
A/v install

Is it in zip form or is it a executable?

You can right click on the file and then choose open from the sub menu. In the sub menu you can also click properties to see what type of file it is. If it is a zip file you are going to have to unzip or extract it to get to the executable. WinRAR works on Windows 7 so if it is a zip file get WinRAR and use the trial version. I have not tested WinZip so i do not know if it works in 7 yet.
