So my girlfriend and I both have different user accounts on our computer. The trouble I'm having is I like a nice picture of my car as my background and she likes the stock images of flowers. When I set a picture of my car it shows up on both my desktop and hers and the same with her setting her flower pictures to her desktop. They show up on mine. I have looked every where before coming here b/c I didn't want to join another forum just to ask this question. If anyone could help me my girlfriend and I would both appreciate it very much. Thanks in advance.

It seems like you and your girlfriend are facing a common issue with Windows settings and user accounts. Windows offers the option to set individual backgrounds for each user account, but sometimes the settings might overlap or sync across accounts unintentionally. To set different desktop backgrounds for each user account on a Windows computer, you can follow these steps: 1. Setting Personalized Backgrounds (Windows 10/11): - For Your Account: - Right-click on the desktop and select "Personalize." - Choose the desired background image for your account. - For Her Account: - Have her log in to her account. - Right-click on her desktop and select "Personalize." - Choose the preferred background for her account. 2...

Check Background Sync Settings: Sometimes, Windows syncs certain settings across user accounts. To prevent this: - Open Settings. - Go to Accounts > Sync your settings. - Turn off "Theme" sync if it's enabled. 3. Verify User Permissions: Ensure that both user accounts have the necessary permissions to set their desktop backgrounds: - Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & Other Users. - Make sure that both accounts are set up correctly. By following these steps, you should be able to set unique desktop backgrounds for both your account and your girlfriend's account without them syncing across to each other. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
