I have searched hi and low to try and resolve issue, both the magic mouse and wireless keyboard worked fine on my old windows 7 machine.

Now new windows 8.1 machine (with different bluetooth) no joy.

Numerous restarts, driver switches, nothing helps :-(

I can get them to connect for a little, but they do not work (no input works)

* On Mouse - it finds, connects and pairs, then connection is lost and device no longer appears in windows bluetooth list.

* On Keyboard - but then connection is lost and the keyboard never connects again, I have to delete and re-find and pair to connect again

Has anyone managed to get windows 8.1 to work with

- apple magic mouse

- apple wireless keyboard

what tricks did you use to get them to

a) pair

b) stay connected.

many thanks

windows 8.1 patches to latest

Apple magic mouse from this year

Apple wireless keybaord from last month.

Solution
YEAH resolved.

1) uninstall OLD Intel BT drivers
2) plug in the 'REQUIRED' ariel for the wi-fi / BT module

now apple keyboard and apple magic mouse and drivers all installed and working fine

I have tried all these, issue seems to be with the BT on the board, but what is worring is I cannot install the updated drivers for the board.

Here is what I did:
1) I downloaded the BT driver for my operating system
2) install the .zip file, which installed files in Program Files (x86)
3) In device manager locate the BT device and then click 'upgrade driver' locate where the install had installed file
4) try and install this (.ins i think ??) file

Current drive seems very old, but I cannot replace is ???
