I have a Vista laptop that is wireless so no router needed or card and I want to connect it with a Windows XP desktop computer that has a Westell router. How do I do this?

Hi bianca,

this is not my 'area' but users who will have a much better knowledge about this should be logging in later tonight...:)

Assuming that the router is wireless, you should connect with the laptop using WiFi. File sharing on both computers must be turned on. From there you should be able to access network shares on both computers in My Network Locations in XP.

In Vista you should go to Start -> Network and Network Discovery should be on.
